Here is a 360 degree video created with my Samsung Gear 360 in front of our office. I used youTube to embed it in my blog. You can use your mouse to rotate the video while it is playing. You can see a dramatic seam in the youTube version. This seam is not as pronounced using the Samsung Gear VR or viewing the native file on the phone.<br />

During this time we were asked to experiment with a mobile app we were planning on using in a course assignment. I've started experimenting with Instagram since I teach a course in digital media and social networking. The activity I'm working on will have students share experiences in their class blog using Instagram. In their class blog the students write about a hobby or some topic they are interested in.<br />
<br />
By adding an Instagram photo stream to their blog they can easily add a visual journey about their topic throughout the semester. By using a class hash tag, all pictures can be centralized on our class website. Instagram will also provide another level of student-student and student-instructor interaction through the ability to comment/like each others photos.<br />
<br />
Being out of the country is affording me a way to test the app without the convenience of easy and fast Internet connectivity. I take my photos with the native camera app and send them to Instagram when I get to a wi-fi area. I used a note taking app to jot down details to paste into Instagram when I returned. Even on a slow Internet connection Instagram has not given me any problems adding my images to the stream. The Instagram interface is very easy learn and provides you with a few editing and effects tools.<br />
<br />
Assessment of the Instagram part of the activity will be easy to track since all activity is timestamped. I'm working on the assignment rubric criteria for the Instagram portion. Things to consider will be the frequency and timeliness of posts, level of comment details, interactivity generated and proper tagging.<br />

Today I tried out Google's Snapseed app. Snapseed is a non-destructive image editing app available for iOS and Andriod. You can take a picture with your device and edit it or import one from your gallery. The app has enhancement tools, filters and a variety of methods to share. In this instance, I imported an image, cropped it, applied a retro filter to it, and shared it throught the Blogger app (which I'm using to write this post). This is a picture of me and my oldest daughter, who was 2 at the time, using our tablets. I'm grading papers while she is stomps in muddy puddles with her Peppa Pig app. I look forward to more experimentation and sharing with Snapseed.</div>

information about my courses and technology used in education. Take a
look around and feel free to leave comments. I'm working on migrating my content from Wordpress so please be patient as I tweak things.Johnny Jarrellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07623547478550128978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5981583221937951592.post-59726215601047598362014-05-23T17:00:00.000-05:002015-02-06T13:42:10.983-06:00Innovations in Online Education – Part 2 edXThe second innovation that came to mind was the edX, <a href="https://www.edx.org/" target="_blank" title="https://www.edx.org/"> https://www.edx.org/</a>, site that hosts online courses and classes from partner institutions. A complete list of schools and partners can be found at <a href="https://www.edx.org/schools-partners" target="_blank" title="https://www.edx.org/schools-partners">https://www.edx.org/schools-partners</a>.
The site was founded by Harvard and MIT. It is a great resource for
those wanting to experience an online class or add credentials to a
resume. The site also has verified certificates and course series. I
plan on trying out one of the introductory computer science class to get
a feel of how it works.Johnny Jarrellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07623547478550128978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5981583221937951592.post-85235098763400066242014-05-23T13:30:00.000-05:002015-02-06T13:33:56.536-06:00Innovations in Online Education – Part 1 Mobile Education<div class="postinfo">
<a class="post-edit-link" href="https://wordpress.com/post/16267894/2606"></a> </div>
In a course I’m taking from University of West Georgia we were
asked to write a couple of posts on our blog about innovative approaches
to distance education/online learning. The first innovation that came
to mind was mobile education. I first started experimenting back in 2009
when I got an iPhone 4 and the first gen iPad. Content creation and the
ability to share and consume on mobile devices have come a long way
since then. For example, the iOgrapher, <a href="http://www.iographer.com/" target="_blank" title="http://www.iographer.com/">http://www.iographer.com/</a>,
is a case for iPads that turns your iPad into a device for creating
movies. There are lens, lighting and other accessories available to turn
your iPad into a complete video solution. Being able to create content
and share it on the go is pretty amazing to me.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
Mobile devices are also handy for consuming content in online
courses. Now with increased cellular speeds you can watch videos and
share large files. Apps by LMS providers let students view course
content and even complete quizzes and other assessments. My university, <a href="http://www.lamar.edu/" target="_blank" title="http://www.lamar.edu">Lamar University</a>,
has subscribed to the Blackboard Mobile app. Blackboard Collaborate and
Adobe Connect are a couple of solutions that are now connect mobile
devices for synchronous lecture and screen sharing solutions.Johnny Jarrellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07623547478550128978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5981583221937951592.post-592192122610869792014-04-12T13:24:00.000-05:002015-02-06T13:41:45.042-06:00A quick glance at distance education in higher ed<h2>
</h2>
<br />
Looking at the “Changing Course: Ten Years of Tracking Online
Education in the United States” report I gathered a few facts and
highlights of distance learning in higher education. It is based of responses from more than 2800 colleges and universities.<br />
<a href="http://babson.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_4SjGnHcStH5g9G5" target="_blank" title="http://babson.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_4SjGnHcStH5g9G5"> http://babson.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_4SjGnHcStH5g9G5</a><br />
<br />
“Changing Course: Ten Years of Tracking Online Education in the United States is the tenth annual report on the state of online learning in U.S. higher education. The survey is designed, administered and analyzed by the Babson Survey Research Group. Data collection is conducted in partnership with the College Board.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
This year’s study, like those for the previous nine years, tracks the opinions of chief academic officers and is aimed at answering fundamental questions about the nature and extent of online education.”<br />
Currently the primary delivery mode for delivering distance learning
in higher ed is online. Other delivery modes used in distance learning
include interactive video (two-way video), off-campus sites, telecourse
and correspondence.<br />
<br />
The study shows that about 32% of students take at least one online
course. That number is comparable to numbers reported by our university. Some of the concerns noted by the report are the lower retention
rates and the belief in the lack of acceptance of online degrees by
potential employers. One of the main concerns at our university is
student authentication. We are currently partnering with ProctorU to
offer another proctoring option to the faculty and students. It was interesting that just 30.2% believed that their faculty accept the value and legitimacy of online education.<br />
<br />
Massive open online courses, MOOCs, were kind of the buzz word last
year but according to the report, online 2.6% have them, 9.4% are
planning them, 55.4% are undecided and 37.2% say they are not
interested. Our university will soon pilot a MOOC but no long term
commitment has been instituted.
<br />
<br />
Two sites I use the a lot for my online classes are <a href="https://mylearningcommunity.wordpress.com/johnnys-blog-postings/www.screencastomatic.com" target="_blank" title="www.screencastomatic.com">www.screencastomatic.com</a> and <a href="https://mylearningcommunity.wordpress.com/johnnys-blog-postings/www.wordpress.com" target="_blank" title="www.wordpress.com">www.wordpress.com</a>.
I use wordpress.com to host my course content and projects I am working
on. WordPress is easy to setup and customize. It is a great way to host
your content for current students in case of an lms outage or students
that are interested in taking your course. I use screencastomatic to create the screen recordings for my courses. It is really easy to use
and much cheaper than Camtasia. My students also use it to create
tutorials and presentations for class.Johnny Jarrellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07623547478550128978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5981583221937951592.post-53855449600211350402011-09-09T15:32:00.000-05:002015-02-16T16:05:08.145-06:00Converting MIDIs to MP3sI found a nice piece of software to convert my MIDIs to MP3s. It is called Direct MIDI to MP3 by Pistonsoft. (<a href="http://www.pistonsoft.com/">http://www.pistonsoft.com</a>) Other solutions I looked at required a real-time conversion but not Pistonsoft's solution. You can also batch convert your files. I found this software very easy to use and converted files quickly.<br />
<br />
Direct MIDI to MP3 comes with a 30 day trial and costs $29.95 to
purchase. However, if you promote the software on your website or blog
(see the Pistonsoft site for details) they will send you a free key to
register your software. <br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
The process:
<br />
<ol>
<li>drag your midi files to the converter window (limit of 5 with the trial version)</li>
<li>click the Convert button</li>
<li>choose a folder to output files</li>
<li>(optional) choose audio output settings</li>
<li>press the Start button</li>
</ol>
Here is a short video I made to show you how it works.<br />

</h2>
Microsoft Photosynth, <a href="http://www.photosynth.net/">http://www.photosynth.net</a>,
is a collection of tools that lets you create 3d panoramic images. The
tools include a mobile app for iOS devices for capturing and uploading
images, a desktop app stitch together images stored on your desktop and
the photosynth.net site to host and share your images. The great thing
about it is the service and apps are free. <br />
<span id="more-1346"></span>
<br />
<div class="wlWriterEditableSmartContent" id="scid:5737277B-5D6D-4f48-ABFC-DD9C333F4C5D:710aca0f-8a9f-42d4-bb7a-cdeac1b23121" style="display: inline; float: none; margin: 0; padding: 0;">
<div>
<span class="embed-youtube" style="display: block; text-align: center;"></span></div>
</div>
Here is a panorama I created at the office.<br />
<a href="http://photosynth.net/embed.aspx?cid=dc7f8174-2a2f-4229-b93d-7ab1b233ce08&delayLoad=true&slideShowPlaying=false">http://photosynth.net/embed.aspx?cid=dc7f8174-2a2f-4229-b93d-7ab1b233ce08&delayLoad=true&slideShowPlaying=false</a><br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
I came across photosynth when searching for an app that would allow
me to take panoramic pictures with my iPhone. Photosynth takes it a
little further and allows you to create 3d panoramas. This app is very
easy to use. Just tap the screen to get started.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth1.png"><img alt="photosynth1" border="0" height="326" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth1_thumb.png?w=219&h=326" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="photosynth1" width="219" /></a><br />
<br />
Pretend you are a tripod and move the dot to the border of the
original picture (does not matter which border) and the app will
automatically take the picture. Keep doing this until you have filled in
the images for your panorama.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth2.png"><img alt="photosynth2" border="0" height="336" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth2_thumb.png?w=225&h=336" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="photosynth2" width="225" /></a><br />
<br />
The app will stitch together your images once you press the Finish button.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth3.png"><img alt="photosynth3" border="0" height="337" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth3_thumb.png?w=226&h=337" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="photosynth3" width="226" /></a><br />
<br />
The next step is to enter the information about your panorama.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth4.png"><img alt="photosynth4" border="0" height="341" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth4_thumb.png?w=229&h=341" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="photosynth4" width="229" /></a><br />
<br />
Now you are ready to share your creation with the world. You can
share it through facebook, bing maps, photosynth.net or email. You can
also save the panorama to your camera roll.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth5.png"><img alt="photosynth5" border="0" height="347" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/photosynth5_thumb.png?w=233&h=347" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="photosynth5" width="233" /></a><br />
<br />
You can use the desktop app (Windows only) to stitch together a photo
series that you have taken with your digital camera. Just drag the
images into the app.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/msice1.png"><img alt="msice1" border="0" height="343" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/msice1_thumb.png?w=543&h=343" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="msice1" width="543" /></a><br />
<br />
After the app has finished stitching your images together, you can publish your file to photosynth.net or to your computer.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/msice2.png"><img alt="msice2" border="0" height="337" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/msice2_thumb.png?w=534&h=337" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="msice2" width="534" /></a><br />
<br />
This is a great service and tool set for the photo enthusiast.Johnny Jarrellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07623547478550128978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5981583221937951592.post-67582096324899648992011-07-24T15:48:00.000-05:002015-02-16T16:05:31.685-06:00Easy classroom file sharing with box.netBox
is an easy to use file sharing service that I use to share files in my
courses and for my projects. Files can be shared from your desktop
computer or mobile device. Box also includes collaboration tools so
others can contribute to your shared folders. The Box service is located
at <a href="http://www.box.net/">http://www.box.net</a>.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
After you sign up for the free account, you are ready to start
uploading and sharing your files. You have 5 gigs of storage with the
free account. Paid accounts give you more storage, security and branding
options. A complete list of features can be found at <a href="http://www.box.net/features/complete_list">http://www.box.net/features/complete_list.</a><br />
<br />
<span id="more-1364"></span>
Using the Box interface for adding files is simple…just
drag-and-drop from your desktop to the browser window. Some mobile apps
have Box support built-in so files can be saved directly to folders in
your Box account.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnetdropbox.png"><img alt="BoxNetDropBox" border="0" height="273" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnetdropbox_thumb.png?w=512&h=273" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="BoxNetDropBox" width="512" /></a><br />
<hr />
<br />
You can create folders in Box to organize your files. I created a
folder for each course I teach and added files relevant to the course
such as the course syllabus and project files. I also use box to share
files from my own projects. You can utilize drag-and-drop to organize
your files and folders within the Box interface.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnetfolderlist.png"><img alt="boxNetFolderList" border="0" height="318" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnetfolderlist_thumb.png?w=510&h=318" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="boxNetFolderList" width="510" /></a><br />
<br />
Here is a view from the Box iPhone app.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/mobilebox.png"><img alt="mobileBox" border="0" height="434" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/mobilebox_thumb.png?w=285&h=434" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="mobileBox" width="285" /></a><br />
<br />
Box displays the URL of the selected folder or file in the Box
interface. Just copy the link and paste it into an email to allow others
access to your folders or files. Of course, they only have access to
files that you have marked for public consumption.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnetsharelink.png"><img alt="BoxNetShareLink" border="0" height="105" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnetsharelink_thumb.png?w=497&h=105" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="BoxNetShareLink" width="497" /></a><br />
<br />
Box also gives you an embed code to insert a Box widget into your
learning management system (LMS) or website. A group of folders or
single folder can be shared in this way. This saves me a lot of time
managing files since the files are dynamically updated where ever the
widget is located. I no longer have to upload files to my web server and
edit the web page to include the links nor do I have to access my LMS
and manage my file links. Using the Box interface, I can easily rename,
add, update and delete files.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnet-links.png"><img alt="BoxNet Links" border="0" height="395" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnet-links_thumb.png?w=488&h=395" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="BoxNet Links" width="488" /></a><br />
<br />
If you have a mobile app that supports Box then you can update files
that the app supports. For example, if I need to update a Word document,
I can edit the document with an app on my mobile device, save the
document and it is instantly updated on my website and LMS.<br />
Here is an example of what a Box widget looks like. The student or
user simply clicks on the file they want to download. Students can also
use Box to share files for group projects and assignments.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnetwidget.png"><img alt="BoxNetWidget" border="0" height="337" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/boxnetwidget_thumb.png?w=519&h=337" style="background-image: none; border-width: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="BoxNetWidget" width="519" /></a>Johnny Jarrellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07623547478550128978noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5981583221937951592.post-72681234445364182252011-02-15T15:56:00.000-06:002015-02-16T16:05:41.982-06:00CrazyTalk Animator – Animation for your courses and projects<b>Crazytalk Animator</b> (<a href="http://www.reallusion.com/crazytalk/animator/default.aspx">http://www.reallusion.com/crazytalk/animator/default.aspx</a>)
is a great way to create animated videos for your class or other
multimedia projects. CrazyTalk has a pretty easy learning curve and if
you can build Mii’s on the Wii then you are well on your way with
CrazyTalk. CrazyTalk has built-in lip syncing when sounds are attached
to characters and you can even animate imported images using the actor
fitting editor. CrazyTalk Animator comes with a content library that
includes many props and accessories for your actors.
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<span id="more-1384"></span>
<br />
<img alt=" Click to read more" src="https://i0.wp.com/mylearningcommunity.wordpress.com/wp-includes/js/tinymce/plugins/wordpress/img/trans.gif" title="More..." /><i>"CrazyTalk Animator, </i><i>the
next level of 2D animation. Create actors using any photo or
illustration. Bring actors to life with automatic facial animation &
innovative puppeteering motion. Drag & drop to build sets with
scenery and props. Film and direct all the action with the camera &
timeline tracks for complete 2D Animation." </i><b>(Reallusion web site)</b><i> </i><br />
<i><br /></i>
I was creating animations in minutes after installing the software.
The timeline tool takes a little getting used to in order to make your
characters do what you want them to do. The lip syncing is very nice.
The software even pauses the mouth animation when there are pauses in
sound file.<br />
There are many tutorials and demos available on the Reallusion website. Check these out to see CrazyTalk Animator in action.<br />
<br />
The basic version of CrazyTalk Animator is available for under $50
and the pro version is $180. Educational pricing is available.<br />
I am using CrazyTalk to add a new level of interaction for my students. Here is an example of a class introduction I created.<br />
<br />
<div class="wlWriterEditableSmartContent" id="scid:5737277B-5D6D-4f48-ABFC-DD9C333F4C5D:83905822-2edd-4161-a93f-f9eadf787802" style="display: inline; float: none; margin: 0; padding: 0;">
<div>
<span class="embed-youtube" style="display: block; text-align: center;"></span></div>
</div>
A variety of characters, props and backgrounds are included with
CrazyTalk. Accessory packs with additional facial features, clothes,
props and backgrounds are also available for purchase. You can easily
customize your characters by choosing different body parts, clothing and
accessories from the content library.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/character_composer.png"><img alt="character_composer" border="0" height="363" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/character_composer_thumb.png?w=526&h=363" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="character_composer" width="526" /></a><br />
<br />
The content library also includes props (trees, chairs, clocks, etc)
to place on your stage. Several backgrounds are also included. Just drag
your props and characters to the stage and you are ready to begin the
animation process.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/stage.png"><img alt="stage" border="0" height="318" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/stage_thumb.png?w=546&h=318" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="stage" width="546" /></a><br />
<br />
All elements occupy a 3D position on the stage. You can have your
characters walk behind props on the screen by correctly positioning the
character in the 3D view.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/3dview.png"><img alt="3dview" border="0" height="316" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/3dview_thumb.png?w=543&h=316" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="3dview" width="543" /></a><br />
<br />
CrazyTalk comes with animation templates that you can apply to your
characters. Just select a character, choose the animation and set the
points on the timeline in which the animation will occur.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/animation.png"><img alt="animation" border="0" height="496" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/animation_thumb.png?w=428&h=496" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="animation" width="428" /></a><br />
<br />
CrazyTalk comes with built-in lip syncing. You can import a sound
file or make a quick recording with your microphone. Text-to-Speech
works but you end up with a very robotic sounding character.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/voice.png"><img alt="voice" border="0" height="286" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/voice_thumb.png?w=441&h=286" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="voice" width="441" /></a><br />
<br />
You can also create custom characters by animating an image. Take a
picture and use the actor fitting wizard to place animation points on
the image. You can add a virtual mouth and eyes to your image for facial
animation. A word of warning, tweaking the joint positions and image
masks can test ones patience.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/actor_fitting.png"><img alt="actor_fitting" border="0" height="299" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/actor_fitting_thumb.png?w=446&h=299" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="actor_fitting" width="446" /></a><br />
<br />
Here is an example of an animation I created with a picture of a
Captain Kirk action figure. I used my phone camera and a green piece of
construction paper capture the image. I edited the image with GIMP
before adding the image to CrazyTalk.<br />
<br />
<div class="wlWriterEditableSmartContent" id="scid:5737277B-5D6D-4f48-ABFC-DD9C333F4C5D:2313dafb-fdf0-4a0e-88a4-b98a35aab113" style="display: inline; float: none; margin: 0; padding: 0;">
<div>
<span class="embed-youtube" style="display: block; text-align: center;"></span></div>
</div>
You can export your project as a video (WMV, AVI, MP4, iWidget and
popVideo) or a sequence of images. Presets for web publishing are are
located under the Web tab. You can also export your project to a 3D
viewable format. You will need a pair of the red/blue classes to view
your 3D project though. <br />
<br />
<a href="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/export.png"><img alt="export" border="0" height="507" src="https://mylearningcommunity.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/export_thumb.png?w=266&h=507" style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0; border-left: 0; border-right: 0; border-top: 0; display: inline; padding-left: 0; padding-right: 0; padding-top: 0;" title="export" width="266" /></a> <br />
<br />
Depending on the speed of your computer, exporting your video can be very time consuming.<br />
