COURSE
OVERVIEW
This course will introduce you to various Web
2.0 technologies such as social networks, blogs, wikis and other Web 2.0
services. The course will consist of projects, quizzes and discussions.
This is a project based course and will require several hours of your time each
week. No programming involved. A web cam and microphone are required.

COURSE
CONTENT
Course
content is located in the CONTENT folder on the main course page. Inside the CONTENT
folder there are folders for each unit. Each unit will consist of readings,
discussions, assignments, quizzes and videos. The RESOURCES folder located on
the main course page contains services and software used in the course.
ASSIGNMENTS
- Eight project based assignments (1 per unit).
- No late assignments will be accepted.
- Click on the link provided in the assignment description to view assignment instructions.
- Klout and Network traffic assignments span the whole semester and are due on the last day of the semester.
QUIZZES
Only
students who have an excused absence for missing an examination will be allowed
to take a makeup. You must make arrangements for the makeup quiz with your
instructor within ONE week following your return to class. If the instructor
has not been contacted within TWO WEEKS following your return to class to
arrange for a makeup, a grade of ZERO will be assigned for the missed quiz.
There
will be a quiz for each unit. Each consist of 10 multiple choice questions from
the assignments, research terms and readings. You will have 20 minutes to
complete the quiz.
EMAIL

4. Knowingly, and without authorization, using, buying, selling, stealing, transporting, soliciting, copying, or possessing in whole or part, the contents of an unadministered test. Substituting for another student; permitting any other person; or otherwise assisting any other person to substitute for oneself or for another student in the taking of an examination or the preparation of academic work to be submitted for academic credit.
5. Bribing another person to obtain an unadministered exam or information about an unadministered exam.
6. Purchasing, or otherwise acquiring and submitting as one’s own work any research paper or other writing assignment prepared by an individual or firm. This section does not apply to the typing of the rough and/or final versions of an assignment by a professional typist.

grade of 0 will be assigned for the assessment for the first violation and a
grade of F will be assigned to the course for the second violation.
COURSE
ATTENDANCE POLICY
It
is essential that you login often each week to participate in discussions and
learning activities. It is the student’s
responsibility to make sure you are officially enrolled in this course. If at
any point, you decide to drop the class, it is your responsibility to
officially drop. Any student who stops attending class and does not officially
drop the course will be given an “F” as the semester grade.
